Alison is a graduate of UC Berkeley, the California Culinary Academy, and the Bauman Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She has been a chef at several well-regarded Bay Area restaurants and spent time as the Executive Chef for the John Muir Health System where she introduced the concepts of seasonality and sustainability in food preparation. She is a lifelong learner and has finished various certificate programs at Cornell University and the Culinary Institute as well as receiving numerous awards and recognition for her expertise. Alison serves on our Nutrition Empowerment Committee.
