Newsletter: An Attitude of Gratitude

Read the full newsletter →

Every year around this time we are all encouraged to think about what we are grateful for, and this year is no exception.

For those of you who attended our annual Gala, you know that I have been thrown a curveball and was diagnosed with lung cancer In the spring. My message to the audience was focused on the reminder that we all have a choice in our lives every day. A choice of how we want to show up and how we want to participate is still ours no matter what comes your way.

Sometimes with an adversity such as this, it’s easier to focus on the anger, the disbelief and the fear instead of the part we still get to affect. Having the ability to choose is incredibly empowering. Where do you want to put your thoughts, what do you want to shape and create in your life and how do you begin making these desires a priority, when right now is truly all we have.

So many of you contribute your time and energy to making our program a success. Whether you’re in the kitchen chopping and peeling, taking the inventory or driving the meals to our beloved recipients, you have made the choice to support us and we thank you!

This is a season of giving, and we have been extended the opportunity to have any donation received during the week of 11/28-12/5 matched by 50% by CHEF (Community Health and Education Foundation).

Starting 11/28, please consider making your annual gift to Culinary Angels during this time so that your contribution can be maximized. CHEFgivingcommunity.org/GT2023

Should you prefer to write a check, please contact me for instructions on how to have it processed.

Happy Holidays and thank you for all of your support. We cannot do it without you!

In gratitude,
